After the roaring success of Taste Cumbria in Cockermouth, where it was born and originated, comes the eighth instalment, Taste Cumbria in Cockermouth 2017, Friday 2nd, Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th September.
With spin offs in Ulverston, Tynedale, Kirkby Lonsdale, again in Cockermouth for the Christmas market and most recently in Whitehaven, Taste Cumbria is the foodie festival of choice across Cumbrian and the Lake District.
This year expect even bigger, even better and most definitely even more delicious, a weekend of food and fun and plenty of flavour. There’s entertainment right from the off on Friday evening with a an exclusive dining experience courtesy of Michelin-starred chef Kevin Tickle of The Forest Side in Grasmere will cook for just 32 guests in Wordsworth House & Garden. It is set o be the perfect marriage of fine food in one of the finest settings. The weekend will be packed to the rafters on Cockermouth’s Main Street with a massive food market for purchasing Cumbrian food as well as food to devour on the day. More food stalls and suppliers will be showcasing their produce on Station Street and South Street.
Look out for live demonstrations and masterclasses by Cumbrian chefs from local hotel chefs and producers including the new and exciting Cumbrian spirit makers, the region isn’t just about food you know!
It really will be a celebration of independent, Cumbria and Lake District businesses and a great support of one of the upcoming foodie destinations in the region.
